The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy will not be held for the first time since 2001. The event was canceled due to the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic in cattle.
The authorities of the Isle of Man in the Irish sea canceled the Tourist Trophy road motorcycle race, which was scheduled to take place from may 30 to June 13. The reason for the cancellation was an outbreak of coronavirus: the number of cases in the UK exceeded one thousand people.
Race organizers said they were considering various options, including moving the race to a different date. However, they made the only possible decision not to hold it at all.The Isle of man tourist trophy has been held since 1907 and is considered one of the most dangerous races in the world.
